The Anchor is located at 1109
E. Douglas. (260-8989). They
don't appear to be affiliated with any poker league. The Anchor
plays no-limit (08-07-07) I have a
report from P. S. that The Anchor has

report from P. W. My wife and I went
to the Anchor last night (5/27). We found the room to be a bit dark in
the beginning, but as the evening went on, the lighting actually improved.
The staff was very friendly, even creating a unique drink for my
wife. We competed on three tables in the non-smoking section.
According to the staff, they recently moved to the non-smoking side of the
bar. This was a very enjoyable evening for us. (02-06-06) A
report from P. S. Lately play has been
starting promptly at 6:30. There is a points
system - 50 for playing; 250 for 1st; 200 for 2nd; 150 for 3rd, 4th, and 5th;
and 100 for 6th, 7th, and 8th.
Presumably points counts towards a finals tournament at some point in

review from P. S. Play tonight started at approximately 7:00, which I was
told was about normal. They did chip up the whites ($50) and then later
the blues ($100). A list was submitted to staff of the top finishers,
