Champs is located at 1106
S. Seneca (262-1284). They play No Limit
Texas Hold-em poker Sat at 3 pm and 6 pm, and Mondays 7pm and 10pm. Champs is nice place to
play, their sound system is among the best I’ve heard, consisting of several
Bose speakers. They are currently
playing independently but have been affiliated with Bar Poker and the Amateur
Poker League in the past. Champs is locally owned and operated. (08-07-07) I have a
report from T.B. that Champs has dropped

The current setup is Monday at 7 & 10 with a cash prize for first
of $25, and Saturday at 3 & 6 with a cash prize for first of $10. (Not playing on Sunday any longer.) (02-20-06) Champs is
considering decreasing the length of the tournament from 10 weeks to just
several weeks. (01-10-06) A report from P. S.
They have 10 weeks of preliminary sessions and then a finals
tournament on the 11th week. Finals prize: $250. The person that ran the tournament said
that tonight was the 6th week. Points
are earned by top 16 finishers each session. The 10:00 session tonight
had 6 players. Session prizes: 1st-dinner for two at Champs; 2nd
is a T-shirt. |
