Quigley’s used to be Lancashire
Rose Tavern, and it is located at 1001
N. Rose Hill Road - Rose Hill (776-9105).
They play 2 sessions on Sunday starting
at 2:00. Second session follows
shortly after the first (on 3/12/06 started at 4:35). Session prizes: 1st-$20; 2nd-$10; 3rd-$5. Play 16 preliminary sessions then have
finals tournament. (03-03-07) An update from Dave. They have a session at 2pm and 5pm on
Sundays. They keep running points for finishers in the top 10 over a 16
week span. Each tournament they give away gift certificates to
there for the top three finishers. I played there last Sunday for the
first time and it was a great atmosphere. They were very friendly and
everyone was there to have fun. (02-22-07) An update from Dave.
The Lankashire in Rose Hill has changed its name. I am not sure
if they still run the tournaments the same or not. My dad played
yesterday and said it was great. They give away gift certificates for
the top two finishers. (3/12/06 was the 3rd week.) Points are earned by top 10 finishers in
each session: 100 for 1st, 90 for 2nd,
etc. The top 30 in points play in the
finals tournament - winner takes all - $250. © 2005-7 |
